
Stingers Sweep River Bats

St. Cloud, MN - The Willmar Stingers swept the St. Cloud River Bats in a two game series by defeating the Bats 6-4 at Joe Faber Field on Friday night. The Stingers were led by starting pitcher Anthony Consiglio who went 6 scoreless innings allowing only three hits and striking out three along the way. Consiglio is now 2-0 on the season with a 0.00 ERA.
The Bats were held scoreless until the bottom of the ninth where they plated four runs. The Stingers had another strong offensive night belting out 13 hits including a three hit performance by each of the second year Stingers Anthony Bemboom and Eduardo Gonzalez. Both Bemboom and Gonzalez went 3 for 5 with an RBI a piece.
