YOUNGSTOWN, OH --- Youngstown's Jeff Christian collected a hat trick as the Steelhounds won their sixth straight game, a 4-1 win over the Memphis RiverKings Saturday night in Youngstown, OH. It was also the fourth straight win for the Steelhounds over the RiverKings going back to last Friday, February 23. The RiverKings return home for a two game homestand next weekend starting with a game versus the Oklahoma City Blazers Friday night at 7:05 at the DeSoto Civic Center.

The game started well for the RiverKings as Ryan Held scored his 14th goal of the season, and his sixth in the last eight games, at 4:45 of the first period. But after that, Youngstown took control. Goals from Tab Lardner and Jeff Alcombrack in the second period were followed by a pair of scores by Jeff Christian in the third to make the final 4-1.

Youngstown went 3-6 on the power play while the RiverKings were held scoreless on three chances. Kevin Schieve started and took the loss in net for Memphis with 31 saves on 35 shots. Brad Roberts stopped 31 shots in earning the win.

The RiverKings and Steelhounds will play twice more before the end of the regular season at the DCC, next Saturday and on Friday, March 23.
