Steelheads Host Annual Teddy Bear Toss Sunday

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads are pleased to announce that they will be holding their annual Teddy Bear Toss presented by Canadian Tire this Sunday December 14th, when they take on the Barrie Colts at 2:00 pm at the Hershey Centre. After the Steelheads first goal, all bears tossed onto the ice will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Peel Region. As the sponsor of the event Canadian Tire stores have generously donated 1,500 bears for Sunday's game.
Teddy Bears will be on sale from the time the gates open at 1:00 pm until the Steelheads score their first goal. Volunteers will be selling the bears with all proceeds going towards Canadian Tire Jumpstart, a nationally registered charity dedicated to removing financial barriers so kids across Canada have the opportunity to get off the sidelines and into the game. At the same time, the Teddy Bear Toss provides local support with all of the tossed bears being donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Peel Region to be distributed to children in need.
The Steelheads and the Boys and Girls Club of Peel Region are thankful to have the support of our local Canadian Tire stores, and are looking forward to another successful campaign this year.
Great tickets are still available for Sunday's game at the Hershey Centre Box Office, and online through Ticketmaster.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Peel Region, incorporated in 1983, is a leading provider of before and after school programs for children and youth that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of 58,000 young people and their families in the community.
