67's Win vs Bellevile on Teddy Bear Toss Night

The Ottawa 67's managed a 4-1 win over the Belleville Bulls Friday night in Ontario Hockey League action at the Arena at TD Place.

Stittsville Ontario native, Kevin Groulx scored the opening goal for Ottawa on a power play to kick off this year's Teddy Bear Toss.

Hundreds of Teddy Bears were tossed onto the ice for the annual event that collects and distributes toys and bears to kids in need in the Ottawa area.

Brendan Bell netted Ottawa second score of the night, also in the 1st period to give the 67's a 2-0 lead at the end of period 1.

The second frame saw two Ottawa goals. Erik Bradford managed to find the back of the net for the 67's while they were shorthanded giving Ottawa a 3-0 lead. Later in the second, Dante Salituro scored to give Ottawa a solid 4-0 lead at the end of the second.

Belleville finally managed to score their only point of the game mid-way through the 3rd period, with a goal from Adam Laishram.

The 67's are back in action at home on Sunday December 28^th against the Kingston Frontenacs at 2:00pm.
