Steel Topple Madison with Overtime Victory

The Chicago Steel defeated the Madison Capitols 4-3 in overtime Saturday night at Fox Valley Ice Arena...The two teams remained deadlocked 1-1 and 2-2 following the first and second periods...Chicago scored in the third period to take a 3-2 lead, but the Capitols responded late in the frame to eventually force overtime...A penalty at the end of the third period gave the Steel a 4-on-3 advantage in overtime, where Charlie Major scored less than a minute in to give the Steel the win...Chicago scored on two of its four power play opportunities...The Steel held the Capitols scoreless in their only power play of the night

Forward Charlie Major scored the last two Steel goals of the night, including his third overtime game-winner of the season. Major has scored in all four games against the Capitols this year and has a goal in each of the last three home games

Kolin Sisson (2) and Michael Hage (7) each scored for the Steel in the win

Chicago goaltender Louka Cloutier made 17 saves to record his second win of the year

Five of the last six home games for Chicago have gone to overtime

The Steel outshot the Capitols in all three regulation periods in the win, marking the first time the Steel outshot an opponent in every period

Saturday was the first time this season that the Steel won a game while outshooting its opponent
