An inning later the Pilots scored the third run of the game on back-to-back one out doubles by Cameron Cecil and Jake Cave that pushed the Pilot lead to 3-1.

The Steamers got back a run against Scoggin in the bottom of the fifth when Brian Blasik hit a one out double. Blasik moved to third on Joey Wendle's ground out and came home on a wild pitch by Scoggin himself to cut the lead to 3-2 Pilots.
