-LAST GAME: A record 5,836 fans packed Medlar Field at Lubrano Park for the State College Spikes' 2011 Home Opener and witnessed four Spikes pitchers shut out the Williamsport Crosscutters in a 3-0 win Sunday night to give the club its first win of the season. Bryce Weidman, Fraylin Campos and Mitch Fienemann finished up the Spikes' effort, with Weidman earning the win and Fienemann the save.
-RECORD CROWD FILLS SEATS ON SUNDAY: The standing-room-only sellout crowd on Sunday surpassed the Spikes' previous high mark of 5,807, set on July 30, 2010 in a game against the Crosscutters.
