Stastny Returns To Rivermen As Peoria Hosts Monsters At 7 PM

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the club has assigned forward Yan Stastny to the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

He made his Blues debut on February 16 at Nashville recording a goal and has skated in 12 games with St. Louis, registering two points (one goal, one assist).

Stastny, 25, has played in 34 games for the Rivermen this season, collecting 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) along with 48 penalty minutes.

The Quebec City, Quebec native is the son of former Blue Peter Stastny and was originally Boston's eighth round selection, 259th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Yan and Peter became the second father and son combination to play for the Blues on February 16 at Nashville. Bob and Brent Johnson were the first.
