Start time changed for Sunday

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have changed the start time of their game on Sunday, February 28 against the Hershey Bears to 1:00pm, it was announced on Saturday.

The change from a 3:00pm start to 1:00pm has been made to accommodate fans wishing to watch the gold medal game between the United States and Canada, which takes place at 3:00pm on Sunday.

"We received numerous inquiries from diehard hockey fans across northeast Pennsylvania during the past two days, stating their interest in being able to view both games on Sunday," said Penguins president Rich Hixon. "We are happy to make this move, which allows for our fans to witness what we think will be two tremendous contests.

"We would also like to thank the American Hockey League, the Hershey Bears, the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza and our local television partners at Fox 56, MyNetwork TV and the CW for helping us to change the start time."

Sunday's Penguins game can also be seen live on WSWB, the CW, and heard live on 102.3, the Mountain.
