Stars Travel to Kearney for Third Game in Three Days

Despite outshooting the Storm 34-25, the Stars fell to the Storm for the first time this season. Tri-City took the early lead one minute into the game and never fell behind. Grant Jozefek, Ethen Frank and Ryan Jones scored for the Stars. Ludvig Hoff and Adam Brady finished with two assists each.

Scouting Tri-City - The Storm have won two of their last five games after going 3-4-2 in November. Carson Meyer leads Tri-City with 11 goals and 9 assists while Jake Wahlin has six goals and 13 assists.

Jersey Auction Success - The Stars raised more than $20,000 for Make-A-Wish Nebraska with their jersey auction on Saturday night. Lincoln collected teddy bears for Community Action, a local non-profit, on Friday and will deliver them this week.

Trade Made - The Stars acquired defenseman Alex Green from the Muskegon Lumberjacks for defensemen Christian Hausinger on Thursday. Green has four shots and 12 PIMS in 8 games this season.

Overtime Heroes - Lincoln is 3-0-0 in overtime and shootouts this season. Jozefek and Hoff have the Stars' overtime winners.

(Super) Power Play - The Stars have the best power play in the league, scoring on 26.2% of chances (22-84).

Blue Line Boosters - Stars defensemen have registered 42 points this season with six goals and 36 assists. Christian Evers has four goals and 8 assists. Ryan Jones has two goals and 10 assists.

Holding the Lead - The Stars are 6-0-0 when leading at the first intermission and 12-0-0 when leading after the second period.

Scoring By Committee - 15 Stars have scored goals and 18 have registered points. Tye Ausmus, Alex Green and Joachim Weberg are the only skaters without points.

Smart Guys - The Stars have five players committed to Ivy League schools - Biagio Lerario (Brown), Anthony Wyse (Dartmouth), Jack Badini (Harvard), Alex Green (Cornell) and Will D'Orsi (Yale).

20th Anniversary Season - The Stars are celebrating their 20th Anniversary Season this year. The team played its first season in 1996-1997.

Oh Captain, My Captain - Biagio Lerario was named team captain for the 2015-2016 season. Ludvig Hoff, Patrick Polino and Dylan Woolf were named assistants. The Stars eight-man leadership group includes those four players along with Adam Brady, Sam Kauppila, Ryan Jones and Christian Evers.
