
Stars to Raise Money for Lincoln Police Department

Lincoln, Neb. - The Stars have partnered with TAG Ink and Thread to raise money for the Lincoln Police Department's wellness committee, the team announced on Tuesday.
On March 4, the Stars will take on the Des Moines Buccaneers and donate a portion of ticket sales to the Lincoln Police Department wellness committee when tickets are purchased in advance by calling John Notter or Jordan Yurth at 402-474-7827 or by following this link: bit.ly/1VrlzV5 .
"We wanted to make a special effort to reach out and say thank you," Stars Corporate Sales Manager Jordan Yurth said.
TAG Ink and Thread will be selling t-shirts to benefit the wellness committee, an organization designed to ensure officers are provided necessary resources and incentives to live healthy lifestyles.
"It's really important for us as police officers to be in shape and have a healthy lifestyle," Police Chief Jim Peschong said. "These two fundraisers are going to give us a real good boost on trying to do that."
In addition to donating a portion of their ticket sales, the Stars will feature police officers during the game night promotions on March 4.
