Lincoln Stars News Release

GREEN BAY, WI- The Lincoln Stars (20-21-4-0) were shut out for the second straight game on Saturday in Green Bay in a loss to the Gamblers.

Just like last night, Green Bay would strike first on a defensive miscue by the Stars. The Gamblers were able to put a puck past Stars netminder Will Prowse on a rush, and take the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

The second frame was all Green Bay. The Gamblers put up 17 shots on net, and had four power-play opportunities, but Prowse came up big again for Lincoln, making all 17 saves he needed to make to keep the Stars within one goal heading into the final period of the weekend.

Green Bay would add four goals in the final 20, including four PPG and a goal by their goaltender. The Gamblers would hold the Stars scoreless. With the loss, the Stars winless streak extends to seven games, the Stars have not scored a goal in 175 minutes and 50 seconds.

The Stars return to action in Des Moines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.
