Stars to Host Black Hawks for Midweek Game

Lincoln, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars (17-11-0) will host the Waterloo Black Hawks (12-10-2) on Tuesday night at the Ice Box. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.

Lincoln is first in the Western Conference with 34 points and 9-4-0 on home ice this season. Tuesday's game marks the second game in a stretch of five games in eight days for the Stars. The team is led by forwards Ludvig Hoff (9-18-27) and Grant Jozefek (8-16-24).

The Waterloo Black Hawks sit fifth in the Western Conference with 26 points and are 6-8-0 on the road this season. The Black Hawks are set to play their first game since Dec. 19. Nick Swaney leads the Black Hawks with 23 points.

The teams met once earlier this season in Waterloo with the Black Hawks taking a 3-2 victory. The Stars and Black Hawks play a total of four times this season.

The Stars will host a small dog race on the ice during the first intermission of Tuesday's game.

Dec. 27 at Omaha - (5-2 W)

The Stars scored five unanswered goals to earn their third win of the season against the Lancers. Tye Ausmus scored his first USHL goal while Patrik Virtanen finished with 28 saves. Ludvig Hoff, Ryan Jones and Biagio Lerario had multi-point games.

Stars Lately - With Sunday's win against Omaha, the Stars moved to the top of the Western Conference with 34 points. The Stars are 4-6-0 in their last 10 games and 9-4-0 on home ice.
