Stars Stifle Wolves Offense in Salt Lake City

Taylorsville, Utah - The Iowa Wolves (17-20) scored a season-low on offense, dropping a 105-93 contest to the Salt Lake City Stars (24-11).

The Wolves have now dropped two straight games dating back to Feb. 13.

Timberwolves assignee Omari Spellman tallied a team-high 20 points in the road loss, shooting 8-of-20 from the field while hauling in six rebounds.

The bench trio of Lindell Wigginton, Jarred Vanderbilt and Barry Brown Jr. supplied the offense from the bench, recording 46 points collectively.

Wigginton posted 18 points and a game-high eight assists. Timberwolves assignee Jarred Vanderbilt posted his first double-double with the Wolves, finishing with 16 points, 14 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Barry Brown Jr. chipped in 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

As a team the Wolves shot just 38.9% from the field and 25.0% from beyond the arc.

Six players scored 10 or more points for the Stars, with Trevon Bluiett finishing at a game-high 21 points. The guard shot 5-of-9 from the three-point line in the win for the home team.

Iowa never led in the second half of play.

The Wolves return home for a one-game homestand at Wells Fargo Arena against the South Bay Lakers on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. CT.
