Clips Comeback against Kings, Close in on Six Seed

STOCKTON, CA - The Agua Caliente Clippers (19-18) fight back from a 20-point deficit to defeat the Stockton Kings (19-16), 134-131, and now sit half a game behind the Texas Legends for sixth in the Western Conference with 13 games left to play.

Stockton came out rolling in the first half, shooting 26-for-49 (53.1 percent) from the field and knocked down 13 of their 23 three-point attempts (56.5 percent) to take a 70-53 into the half, leading by as much as 20 along the way. Coming out of the break with a vengeance, the Clippers shot a season-high 78.9 percent from the field (15-for-19) in the third quarter, outscoring the Kings 47-32, to cut the Kings lead to 102-100. With the game back-and-forth down to the final minute, Amir Coffey knocked down four free throws to help Agua Caliente seal the victory.

The Clippers were paced by Johnathan Motley's 33 points on 11-of-19 shooting from the field. Coffey and James Palmer Jr. each added 28 points.

Isaiah Canaan led the Kings with a game-high 34 points.

The Clippers head up to Santa Cruz next to take on the Warriors. The ballgame is slated to tip-off at 7 p.m. PST inside the Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz, CA.
