
Stars Sign Tyler Shelast To ATO Agreement

Des Moines, IA- The Iowa Stars announced today that the club has signed Michigan Tech Senior Tyler Shelast to an amateur tryout agreement. Shelast will join the Stars on the road to Milwaukee and Peoria this weekend beginning Friday at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee at 7:00 PM.
Shelast, 23, served as assistant captain for the Huskies in 2007-2008. Shelast tallied 87 points (51 goals, 36 assists) in 151 career games for Michigan Tech. He was a constant scoring threat on the man advantage scoring 29 of his 51 goals on the power play. Shelast was named to the Great Lakes Invitational All-Tournament Team twice and was named to the WCHA All-Academic Team three times.
In 39 games with Michigan Tech this season Shelast led the team in total goals (16), power play goals (8) and shots on goal (114). He was second in overall points with 26. The Kelowna, BC native boasts a 3.28 cumulative grade point average in business administration.
