Blues Sign Talbot To Contract

ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today that the team has signed forward Julian Talbot.

The 22-year-old Talbot has had a stellar freshman campaign in the AHL, where his 41 points rank him tied for fourth among all active rookies. His 20 goals ranks tied for second among first-year players league-wide, as well as second on the Rivermen overall.

The Wahnapitae, Ontario native played in his first professional season last year with the St. Louis Blues' ECHL affiliate, the Alaska Aces, appearing in 66 games, recording 53 points (20 goals, 33 assists) and 54 penalty minutes.

Peoria is back in action Friday night against the Lake Erie Monsters with a Rivermen Concert Event featuring Craig Morgan - presented by Petersen Health Care and RiverCountry 97.3. Puck drop is slated for 7 pm, with the concert immediately following the game. Saturday World Championship Midget Wrestling follows the game at the Peoria Civic Center!
