Stars Rally Past Warriors to Grab Second Victory on the Road

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, secured their second victory on the road with a 110-105 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors.

The game started with the Warriors taking the lead, ending the first frame 35-27. However, the Stars retaliated, making 56.5 percent of their shots to overcome the Warriors 33-18 in the second as they took the lead.The Warriors hustled back, cutting the Stars lead to just three-points as they headed into the fourth quarter 85-82. began the third quarter down by double-figures but went on a 15-7 run to close the frame down by four. The final minutes were a back-and-forth battle with two ties and two lead changes. However, the Stars pushed ahead and grabbed the victory 110-105.

Romeo Langford paced the Stars with a game-high 25 points, securing a new season-high, while also addingsix rebounds and four assists. Langford's 25-point performance makes it the most points he has scored in the G League since 2019. Utah Jazz -assignment player Brice Sensabaugh added 18 points, four rebounds, and four assists for the Stars. Michael Devoe came off the bench to contribute 15 points, six rebounds.

The Warriors' Jayce Johnson secured a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds off the bench. Golden State two-way player Lester Quinones added another 17 points for the Warriors.

The Stars will now head to face the Stockton Kings at Stockton Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast LIVE on ESPN+.
