Ontario Falls to South Bay in Overtime Thriller, 127-126

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (8-5) fall to the South Bay Lakers (7-4), 127-126, on Sunday afternoon at the Toyota Arena in Ontario.

Brandon Boston Jr. led the Clippers with 34 points, on 11-of-19 shooting from the field and 5-of-8 from range, and 8 rebounds. Xavier Moon followed close behind in the scoring column with 31 points on 11-of-23 shooting from the field, including 7-of-12 from distance, to go along with 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Jordan Miller added 26 points, with all five of his makes coming from deep, and grabbed 11 rebounds for the double double.

South Bay's Scotty Pippen Jr. led all scorers with 41 points, on 16-of-26 shooting from the field and 3-of-7 from distance, to go along with 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Louis King added 16 points while D'Moi Hodge recorded a 14-point, 13-rebound double double off the Lakers' bench.

The game was neck-and-neck from start to finish. As the fourth quarter buzzer neared, the Clippers held the largest lead by either team at 10 with 4:45 remaining. But that was short-lived as a quick 10-0 run by South Bay brought the score even. The teams traded buckets to the end of regulation, ending with a pair of free throws from Boston Jr. to send the game to overtime tied at 120. With the target score set a 127, a Quinndary Witherspoon free throw sealed the victory for South Bay.
