Iowa Wolves Add Daniel Giddens

The Iowa Wolves announced today that the team has added center Daniel Giddens from the available player pool. Giddens will wear No. 35 and will be available today for Iowa's game at the Grand Rapids Gold at 2 p.m. CT.

Giddens, 6-11, comes to Iowa after appearing in two games this season for the Birmingham Squadron. He joined the Squadron via the available player pool with a roster hardship exception.

Prior to Birmingham, Giddens played one season for the Japanese team Sanen Neophoenix, averaging 5.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game in 41 games (13 starts). Before his lone season in Japan, Giddens played two professional seasons in Switzerland.

The Marietta, Ga. native played four collegiate seasons with stops at Ohio State, Alabama and Vermont. He helped Vermont win the 2019-20 American East Conference regular season championship.
