San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 26, 2016) - The San Antonio Rampage (8-10-1-0) were shutout 3-0 by the Texas Stars (10-6-1-1) Saturday night at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park.
The Stars took an early first-period lead thanks to a power-play goal at 5:29 from Stephen Johns, with assists from Justin Dowling and Brandon DeFazio. Johns' power-play goal was the first surrendered by San Antonio's penalty-kill unit since Nov. 18.
Texas extended their lead in the second frame when DeFazio recorded an unassisted short-handed goal at the 6:49 mark. The Stars tacked on their third-consecutive goal at 17:10 when Cole Ully registered his seventh of the season on a series of passes from Jason Dickinson and Matt Mangene.
Despite outshooting the Stars 14-3 in the third, San Antonio failed to find the back of the net.
