
Stars Host "Hoops for Troops" Night on November 12

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, will return home next week to play two games at Bruin Arena on the campus of Salt Lake Community College: "Hoops for Troops" Night on Nov. 12 and "Wizard Night presented by KeyBank" on Nov. 15.
Tickets for the Stars' next two home games, which start at $5, are available at slcstars.com.
"Hoops for Troops" Night on Monday, Nov. 12, vs. Sioux Falls at Bruin Arena will feature a DEP (Delayed Entry Program) enlistment ceremony for service members from the 368th Recruiting Squadron on Hill Air Force Base at halftime. The Stars have invited members from Hill Air Force Base and their families to attend the game, and all active or retired military are eligible to receive a free ticket with military ID presented at the box office.
The game is part of the NBA and NBA G League's "Hoops for Troops" initiative, which honors active and retired service members and their families. The game will be broadcast on Facebook Live, which can be accessed via the Salt Lake City Stars Facebook page.
The Stars will also host "Wizard Night presented by KeyBank" on Thursday, Nov. 15, against the South Bay Lakers at Bruin Arena, where all kids in attendance will receive a wand and wizard glasses. Wizard-themed characters will also be on hand for autographs and photos with kids. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
All home games at Bruin Arena this season will include inflatables, pop-a-shot, face painters and balloon artists in the Kids Zone, presented by University of Utah Health, as well as appearances by Buster, the team's mascot, and a rotation that includes the Jazz Dancers, Jazz Dunk Team or Jazz Stunt Team. At the conclusion of every home game, select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session for fans on the court.
The Stars have started the season with a 2-0 record, marking the first time the Stars/Idaho Stampede franchise has begun a season with two consecutive wins since 2013-14.
