TAYLORSVILLE, Utah - The Salt Lake City Stars defeated the Agua Caliente Clippers, 110-93, Saturday night at Bruin Arena. The Stars took the series 3-0 this season.
The Stars jumped out to an early 32-17 lead in the first quarter behind Isaiah Cousins' nine points. Salt Lake City continued to build on that lead in the second frame and headed into the break ahead 56-40.
The Stars continued their offensive output in the second half, never trailing for the remainder of the game.
Isaiah Cousins' paced Salt Lake City with 20 points and 11 assists. Utah Jazz assignee Tony Bradley added 14 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Jazz two-way players Georges Niang and Erik McCree both contributed 16 points.
The Clippers' Tyrone Wallace led all scorers with 27 points. DeAndre Daniels contributed 12 points, while both LaDontae Henton and Skylar Spencer finished with 11 points.
The Stars return to Bruin Arena on Friday, March 9 when the team hosts the Northern Arizona Suns for "Rudy Gobert Bobblehead Night." Fans who purchase the $25 ticket package will receive two tickets to the contest and a limited-edition Rudy Gobert bobblehead, which features GobeSrt in the Jazz gold "Statement Edition" uniform, along with a bobble arm that mimics a blocked shot. Doors open at 6 p.m. with tipoff at 7 p.m.
