
Blue Holds off Warriors

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Oklahoma City Blue (22-20) defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors (20-21), 111-101 on Friday night.
The game was tied at 94 apiece after the Warriors' Michael Gbinije hit a three with six minutes left in the game. Rashawn Thomas scored on a layup on the ensuing possession, triggering a decisive 10-0 run for the Blue.
Thomas scored six points in the fourth and finished with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Bryce Alford led the Blue with 21 points and three assists, his 10th 20-plus point game of the season.
At halftime, Oklahoma City trailed 54-49 and went down by as many as eight points to open the third quarter. Late in the quarter, a three-pointer from Justin Leon tied the game and kicked off an 8-0 run for the Blue. The team scored 37 points in the third quarter and shot 8-13 from beyond the arc.
Leon finished with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Two-way player Daniel Hamilton had 11 points in the third period, finishing with 17 points, 11 assists and six rebounds, his second consecutive double-double.
Tomorrow night, Oklahoma City will face the South Bay Lakers at 9 p.m. at the UCLA Health Training Center.
