Stars Add Forward Kenny Wooten

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today the team has added forward Kenny Wooten from the available player pool.

Wooten (6-8, 235, California) comes to the Stars with a total of 75 games (35 starts) of previous NBA G League experience since the 2019-20 season. The 24-year-old forward has had stops with the WestChester Knicks (2019-20), the Rio Grande Vipers (2020-21), Maine Celtics (2021-22), and the Raptors 905 (2022-23), owning career averages of 9.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.4 steals a game during the regular season.

The Stockton, Calif., native appeared in 12 games with four starts during the G League Showcase Cup for the Raptors 905, where he averaged 10.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks per game. Since the start of the regular season, Wooten played six games (four starts) for the Toronto Raptors affiliate team, averaging 7.3 points and 8.9 rebounds.

Prior to his time in the NBA G League, Wooten played two seasons (2017-19) at the University of Oregon, appearing in 70 games (37 starts). Wooten posted collegiate career averages of 6.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks a game, leaving Oregon as the Ducks' third all-time leading shot blocker with a total of 166 career blocks. In both 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons he earned the Pac-12 All-Defense honor.
