
Mad Ants March Over Magic

The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, fell to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants at the RP Funding Center. Justin Anderson fired off a game-high 37 points, Jermaine Samuels Jr. had 22 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists, and David Stockton added 22 points and 10 assists as the Fort Wayne Mad Ants defeated the Lakeland Magic 124-116.
Jay Scrubb had 27 points and seven rebounds while R.J. Hampton scored 22 off the bench for the Magic.
Justin Anderson would erupt for 37 points scoring however he pleased with 26 points coming in the first half. Fort Wayne would have three players score 20 or more points by the end of the night. The Mad Ants built a 20-point lead in the third quarter and never looked back.
Lakeland only held the lead once briefly in the first quarter. The Magic would only outscore the Mad Ants in the fourth quarter. Lakeland cut the lead to just single digits for the first time since the first quarter with one minute remaining in the game but would ultimately come up short.
The Lakeland Magic (9-6) will face the Westchester Knicks, on Monday, January 30 in Lakeland at 7:00 PM on Nbagleague.com.
