SPRINGDALE, AR - The Kansas City Royals named Naturals outfielder Bubba Starling and RHP Kyle Zimmer Northwest Arkansas' Player and Pitcher of the Month respectively for July. Starling, also named Naturals Arkansas Federal Credit Union Player of the Month over the weekend, batted .333 in July through 26 games with 3 home runs, 12 runs batted in and a stolen base. The former 2011 first round pick by the Kansas City Royals out of Gardner, Kansas, is enjoying perhaps his best professional season to date racking up 9 home runs with 37 RBI, 44 runs scored, and 5 stolen bases, while batting .291 in 285 at-bats. The 23-year-old currently ranks fifth among Kansas City Royals prospects according to MLB.com.

He notched 20 strikeouts in 16.1 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record and 3 saves. The 23-year-old prospect out of San Francisco, Zimmer recently rejoined the Northwest Arkansas Naturals starting rotation for the first time since 2013. The right hander ranks third among Royals top prospects.
