CORPUS CHRISTI - Hooks shortstop Jio Mier and right-handed pitcher Joe Musgrove will sign autographs and visit with fans between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at the South Staples & Yorktown Whataburger location, 7434 South Staples.

KFTX-FM has scheduled a live remote broadcast.

Mier, 24, was Houston's first-round draft choice in 2009 (21st overall). The Californian is batting .252 with 12 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 46 runs batted in, and 10 stolen bases this season.

Musgrove, 22, taken by Toronto in the first round (46th overall) of the 2011 draft, also hails from California. He stands 11-1 with a 1.81 ERA in 18 appearances and 13 starts between Quad Cities (A), Lancaster (High-A) and Corpus Christi (Double-A) this season. Musgrove was acquired from the Blue Jays with Francisco Cordero, Kevin Comer, David Rollins, Asher Wojciechowski, and Carlos Perez for David Carpenter, J.A. Happ, and Brandon Lyon on July 20, 2012.

Musgrove has issued just six walks while striking out 92 over 94 2/3 innings in 2015.
