
Stamps Make Mark With Players Of The Week

(Calgary) - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the Rogers Players of the Week for Week #13. Stampeders' Quarterback Henry Burris was named Offensive Player of the Week and Linebacker Scott Coe Canadian Player of the Week.
This is the second time Burris has been named Offensive Player of the Week in 2007. He threw for five touchdowns while completing 14 of 23 passes for 336 yards. It was also Henry's seventh 300-yard plus game in 2007. In the last eight games he has averaged 334 yards passing per game.
Against the Saskatchewan Roughriders Scott Coe recorded 11 defensive tackles and forced two fumbles. One of the forced fumbles came on a 14 yard Wes Cates run and was recovered by Linebacker Cornelius Anthony on the Stampeders 27-yard line.
Also of note Stampeders Running Back Joffrey Reynolds was named Runner up Offensive Player of the Week, Scott Coe Runner up Defensive Player of the Week and Linebacker Marc Calixte Runner up for Special Teams Player of the Week.
This week the Stampeders will travel East to face the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Friday, September 21st. Kick off is 5:30 pm (MDT) and will be live on TSN and QR77.
