Toronto, ON - (September 19, 2007) - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the Rogers Players of Week for Week #12.

Rogers Players of the Week are selected for on-field excellence by members of the Canadian football broadcasters.

Offensive Player of the Week

QB - Henry Burris - Calgary Stampeders

Saskatchewan Roughriders 22 @ Calgary Stampeders 44

Highlights / Key Stats:

Quarterback Henry Burris led the Stampeders to a third consecutive victory this weekend with a stellar performance. Burris completed 14 of 23 passes for 336 yards with five touchdowns and one interception. Burris also rushed for 55 yards on nine carries.

Defensive Player of the Week

CB - Jason Goss - Edmonton Eskimos

Montreal Alouettes 28 @ Edmonton Eskimos 47

Highlights / Key Stats:

Edmonton Eskimos cornerback Jason Goss had an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown, giving the Esks a 31-7 lead. Goss added a second interception in the third quarter, which led to another Eskimos touchdown. Goss also added three tackles and one pass knockdown.

RB - Ian Smart - BC Lions

BC Lions running back Ian Smart returned two kickoffs for an average of 28 yards, his long being 36 yards. Smart also returned five punts for an average of 17.2 per return. Smart's longest punt return came in the second quarter and went for 56 yards, leading to a BC touchdown.
