Stampede Slowed by 66ers

BOISE, Idaho - Carlon Brown had 21 points and Justin Holiday made it 13 straight games with at least two steals, but the Idaho Stampede lost to the Tulsa 66ers 110-95. Holiday added 16 points and six rebounds, while Coby Karl had 20 points for the Stampede (13-27).

The 66ers (23-17) got 29 points on 13-of-15 shooting from Jeremy Lamb, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder. His assigned teammates had big nights too: DeAndre Liggins had 19 points (4-7 3FG) and Daniel Orton added 10 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three blocks.

Durrell Summers scored 18 points for Idaho, while Reggie Hamilton added 10 off the bench. Idaho allowed Tulsa to shoot 56.2 percent from the floor, including 57.9 in the first half when the 66ers took a 58-43 lead at the half. Tulsa extended the lead to as many as 28 in the third quarter, outscoring the Stampede 54-36 in the paint. The Stampede committed 15 turnovers in the first two quarters and 22 for the game.

Idaho plays the Tulsa 66ers again tomorrow at 7 p.m. at CenturyLink Arena in downtown Boise. The team is wearing specially-made green St. Patrick's Day-themed jerseys which are being auctioned off in the arena. The auction will conclude at 9 p.m. during Saturday's game.
