Red Claws Add Veteran Guard Jermaine Taylor

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, today announced that they have acquired guard Jermaine Taylor.

Taylor, a 2009 2ND round draft selection of the Washington Wizards, spent parts of the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons with the Houston Rockets and 2011-12 with the Sacramento Kings for a total of 65 NBA games (5.4 ppg, 1.7 rpg) before taking his career overseas. He split the 2012-13 season between teams in Spain, Israel and China before signing into the NBA Development League.

Taylor, 26, is expected to be in the lineup tomorrow night as the Red Claws face the Austin Toros in the first game of a back-to-back weekend set at Austin and the Texas Legends. Tomorrow night's game marks the start of the five-game road trip for the Red Claws. Maine, who has eight games remaining in the 2012-13 regular season, will play their final game of the season at home on March 28 at 7 PM.
