Stampede Get Revenge in Reno

RENO, Nevada, January 2, 2011 - Luke Jackson, Antoine Walker and Jermareo Davidson each scored 25 points as the Idaho Stampede (3-13) beat the Reno Bighorns (10-6) 110-103 on Sunday night at the Reno Events Center. Jackson (4-7 3FG) added 11 rebounds, six assists and three steals, while Walker (4-5 3FG) added eight rebounds and five assists as starters. Davidson came off the bench to make 9-of-12 shots and collect eight rebounds in just his second game as a Stampeder.

The Stampede dominated the glass (outrebounded Reno 43-36) and shot 50.7 percent from the field. Idaho took a four point deficit into the fourth quarter, where they made 10-of-17 shots (58.8 percent) and outrebounded the Bighorns 15-4. The Stampede won the final stanza 31-20 to secure the victory, going on an 18-7 run to open the quarter.

Two other Stampeders scored in double-figures with Seth Tarver making 7-of-10 shots for 15 points and Cedric Jackson, in his second start for Idaho, scoring 12 points, while adding seven assists, six rebounds and two steals.

Reno was led by Marcus Landry (27 points) and Jeremy Lin (26 points).

Idaho plays its next game at Qwest Arena on Friday, January 7 against the New Mexico Thunderbirds.
