PHOENIX SUNS ASSIGN GARRET SILER TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE IOWA ENERGY

Phoenix Suns center Garret Siler was assigned to the Iowa Energy, the Suns' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced yesterday. The assignment marks the 25th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Siler, a rookie out of Augusta State. Siler (6-11, 300) has appeared in six games this season for Phoenix, averaging 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.8 minutes. In the 2010 NBA Las Vegas Summer League, Siler shot 12-of-16 from the field in five games with the Miami Heat, averaging 6.6 points and 3.8 rebounds.

Ivan Johnson scored a team-high 19 points, and Kyle Spain added 18 points and 10 rebounds, leading a balanced Erie win over Springfield. The Armor's JamesOn Curry led all scorers with 23 points, while seven BayHawks scored in double figures.

Chris Kramer's game-high 22 points and Marvin Phillips' 15 points and 10 rebounds led the Mad Ants over Maine. Mario West led the Red Claws with 21 points, while both Tiny Gallon and DeShawn Sims had 17 points for Maine.

Josh Bostic scored a game-high 30 points, and both Shane Edwards and Jamine Peterson added 21 points to lead the Thunderbirds past Texas. Justin Dentmon led the Legends with 29 points, while Sean Williams added 26 points and 11 rebounds.

Elijah Millsap's 17 points and Cole Aldrich's seven points and 14 rebounds led Tulsa over Austin. The Toros' Marcus Cousin led all scorers with 22 points, and Kevin Palmer added 17 points for Austin.

Antoine Walker, Luke Jackson and Jermareo Davidson each scored 25 points, leading Idaho to a win at Reno. Marcus Landry paced Reno with 27 points, while Jeremy Lin scored 26 points.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

35 players with NBA D-League experience competed in seven NBA games last night, two as starters.

Cleveland's Ramon Sessions had 19 points and 12 assists in a loss to Dallas.

Phoenix's Marcin Gortat scored 16 points in a loss to Sacramento.

Toronto's Joey Dorsey had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Amir Johnson had 10 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Boston.
