Utah Bounces Back with Win Over Bakersfield

Orem, UT, Jan. 3, 2011 - The Utah Flash (8-6) regained their series lead against the Bakersfield Jam (10-7) in tonight's home game. The final score was 103-94. The Flash are now 2-1 this season against the Jam. The Flash's rally led them to outscore the Jam for the first three quarters. Despite a late push by the Jam, Utah held on for the victory.

The Flash finished the first quarter with a ten point lead. Orien Greene was the Flash's first quarter high-scorer with 12 points. The Flash shot an impressive .800 from the field. The Jam's high scorer was Devin Ebanks with seven points.

The Jam made a good attempt to catch up to the Flash in the second quarter with 19 points, but the Flash held on to the lead with a 21 point quarter. The first half ended with Utah leading 50-38.

The second half of the game remained quick and exciting. The Jam inched their way in an attempt to catch up to the Flash, outscoring them 35-25 in the fourth quarter, but the first three quarters solidified the Flash's lead. The largest lead of the game (22 points) belonged to the Flash in the fourth quarter.

Greene was the game's high-scorer with 30 points, his season second highest. Lance Allred had the Flash's only double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The Jam were led Brandon Wallace with 18 points, also one of two players with a double-double for the Jam (10 rebounds). Devin Ebanks, on assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers, earned the Jam's other double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
