
Thunderbirds Trade for Gerard Anderson

Rio Rancho, NM - The New Mexico Thunderbirds announced today they have acquired forward Gerard Anderson (6-6, 210, Cal State Fullerton) from the Reno Bighorns in exchange for forward Anthony Richardson.
Anderson was named to the All-Big West First Team after his senior season at Cal State Fullerton in which he averaged 12.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 49.6%. Anderson was an honorable mention to the All-Big West team in 2009 when he averaged 9.0 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 54% from the floor.
This season Anderson had played in seven games for the Bighorns and was averaging 0.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 4.1 minutes per game.
Anderson will be active for the Thunderbirds next game against the Springfield Armor on Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
