Stampede Fall to Legends 114-117

BOISE, Idaho - The Texas Legends swept the two-game series with the Idaho Stampede with a 117-114 victory Saturday night at Qwest Arena.

The Legends shot 58.8 percent from the field and outscored the Stampede 37-29 in the fourth quarter.

Texas guards Antonio Daniels (11 assists) and Justin Dentmon each scored 22 points, while Booker Woodfox added 20. Joe Alexander totaled 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Seth Tarver led the way for Idaho, scoring 26 points and grabbing eight rebounds. Walter Sharpe cashed in the first double-double for the Stampede in 2010-11, with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Luke Jackson had 14 points and a team-high six assists.

"We've got to learn how to close games out, make plays, win games, put the hammer down and have that killer instinct," coach Randy Livingston said. "They wanted it more; they made plays, made big threes. Antonio Daniels made a few big plays, and that's how the game goes sometimes."

There were 17 lead changes in the game and the score was tied on 14 occasions. The Stampede led by as many as nine.
