
Stampede Beaten By Bighorns

BOISE, Idaho - Antoine Walker had 18 points, and six rebounds and Carlos Wheeler added 17 points off the bench, but the Idaho Stampede (10-18) lost to the Reno Bighorns (19-12) 110-96 on Friday night at Qwest Arena.
Reno shot 53.8 percent from the floor for the game, making 9-of-19 three-pointers while only committing 13 turnovers. Steve Novak made 5-of-7 three-pointers, including 4-of-4 in the third quarter, to score a game-high 21 points off the bench. Marcus Landry (18 points) and Danny Green (15 points, three steals) led the starters, while Jeremy Lin chipped in with 17 points and nine assists off the bench.
Jermareo Davidson had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Stampede, who made just 5-of-23 (21.7 percent) three-pointers. Cedric Jackson had a strong overall game, finishing with seven points, seven assists and six rebounds.
The Stampede will complete the weekend series with the Bighorns tomorrow at Qwest Arena at 7 p.m. The Stampede will be celebrating Affiliate Night, as the team will wear Portland Trail Blazers jerseys, host Blazers dancers and Blaze the mascot.
