INDIANAPOLIS - Jacob Stallings finished 4-for-4 with a double, two home runs, and seven RBIs to eclipse an Indianapolis Indians record as the Tribe rolled past Rochester, 9-3, on Tuesday night at Victory Field.

Apart from being a new career high for Stallings, his seven runs batted in marked an Indians single-game record in the Victory Field era. It eclipsed the six driven in by Josh Harrison in 2013.

Kuhl (5-1) gave up a run in the first inning on an RBI double from Max Kepler. He quickly recovered, striking out the side before ultimately finishing with seven punchouts in 5.1 innings.

Kuhl again got the upper hand on Jose Berrios (3-2) in a rematch of last Thursday's matchup. Berrios was charged with seven earned runs in five innings of work for Rochester (29-23).

The Tribe responded in the bottom of the second with a scorched liner for a home run by Jason Rogers to left field.

Jacob Stallings collected his first hit and RBI in the third inning with a home run to lead off the frame. He added three more RBIs in the very next inning, doubling to the opposite gap after Willy Garcia scampered safely to first on a wild pitch strikeout to load the bases.

Indianapolis (26-24) scored in five straight innings from the second through sixth. Alen Hanson tripled and scored on a very shallow fly ball to left from Max Moroff in the fifth, while Stallings chalked up his fifth RBI an inning later with a base hit to score Garcia, who doubled.

Rochester scored one run in the eighth, but the Indians answered with two of their own on Jacob Stallings' second homer of the day in the home half of the inning to make it 9-3.

Series finale will take place tomorrow afternoon at 1:35 p.m. Tyler Glasnow (4-2, 2.25) is slated to face off against Logan Darnell (5-4, 3.74).
