FLORHAM PARK, NJ (August 3, 2007)- The Goldklang Group today announced the activation of a 2008 ballpark campaign designed to spotlight the tremendous dedication of Professional Baseball Scouts and recognize them for their invaluable contributions to the game of baseball. They have created a Scouts Hall of Fame (SHOF) campaign across all of the teams associated with the Group; Charleston RiverDogs, Hudson Valley Renegades, Fort Myers Miracle, St. Paul Saints, Brockton Rox and Sioux Falls Canaries. There will be a ceremony and established dedication area at each ballpark honoring deserving scouts each year throughout the league schedule.

Baseball scouting is the specialized business of recognizing talent at every level of organized ball and evaluating the potential for those individuals in elevating through the various professional levels up to the Major Leagues. They are the first word in determining which players are and are not prospects, and generally the last word when dealing with personnel decisions at the elite levels of the game.

Scouts also fill the role of signing players who will help the minor league systems operate efficiently. This particular aspect of their job enables countless towns and smaller cities to enjoy baseball in the most rural parts of the country, which in turn enables the larger markets to sustain a consistent pool of playing talent.

"This campaign is designed to create awareness of the importance of scouting in professional baseball and the major role that these individuals play on a global level," said Tyler Tumminia, The Goldklang Group. "Our sincere hope is that one day fans will be able to appreciate the historical significance of this profession with proper recognition at the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame."

This 2008 SHOF campaign is designed to build on the success that the Staten Island Yankees enjoyed when they created the inaugural SHOF at their park.
