Squadron Start Homestand with 132-110 Loss to Salt Lake City

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron fell in the first game of a five-game home stretch on Friday night at Legacy Arena at the BJCC, with the visiting Salt Lake City Stars coming away with a 132-110 victory.

Birmingham (1-8) was led in the scoring column by Feron Hunt's 24 points. The SMU product registered a double-double on the night with 10 rebounds as well. Forward James Kelly, Sr. notched the Squadron's second double-double of the night with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

All five Squadron starters scored in double figures, but Salt Lake City outscored Birmingham 36-22 in bench points.

The Stars (3-4) were paced in scoring by 27 points from Micah Potter. Former Arizona guard Rawle Alkins was good for a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds.

Birmingham and Salt Lake City meet for the second game of the back-to-back on Saturday at Legacy Arena at the BJCC. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. and can be seen locally on My68 WABM or nationally on NBAGLeague.com.
