Wisconsin Herd Falls to Cleveland Charge

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Cleveland Charge 115-96. The Charge snagged an early double-digit lead in the first quarter with the Herd shooting just 26.1% from the field. The Herd improved to 50% from the field in the second quarter but it wasn't enough to grab the lead. Lindell Wigginton and Jordan Bone scored 12 points each in the second half to help cut down the Charge's lead, but the Herd was unable to come back from the 25-point deficit.
Jordan Bone powered the Herd with 21 points followed by Lindell Wigginton with 18 points. In his second game with the Herd, Paris Bass posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Isaiah Mobley guided the Charge with 30 points while Sharife Cooper added 25 points.
The Cleveland Charge took an early lead, but the Herd was able to tie the game 4-4. The two teams tied two more times before the Charge pushed ahead by seven points. A three-point shot from Rob Edwards put the Charge at bay while Lindell Wigginton added a layup. The Charge responded with 10 unanswered points to grow their lead back to double digits. Brandon Randolph closed out the first quarter with a last second layup. The Charge was up 30-18 at the end of the first quarter.
The Charge opened the second quarter with a three-point play, but Jordan Bone answered with a three. Nate Roberts threw down a dunk before the Charge built their lead to 20 points. Rob Edwards completed a three-point play while Jontay Porter and Brandon Randolph added a basket each. The Herd continued its comeback, cutting down the Charge's lead to 12 points. The two teams traded baskets, but the Charge worked ahead to 61-47 at the end of the first half. Jordan Bone controlled the Herd with nine points in the first half.
Lindell Wigginton hit consecutive baskets to start the third quarter. The Charge responded with a 7-0 run to go up by 19 points, but Jontay Porter stopped the run with a three-point bucket. The Charge didn't slow down, building their largest lead of the game to 25 points. The Herd closed out the quarter with three sets of back-to-back baskets. The Charge led 85-69 at the end of the third quarter.
Brandon Randolph hit a three-point shot to begin the fourth quarter. Paris Bass added a free throw to bring the Herd within 11 points. The Charge rebounded with nine unanswered points to go ahead by 20 points. Rob Edwards shut down the surge with a three-point basket. The Herd followed with four three-point shots in the three minutes. Jordan Bone scored six consecutive points while Brandon Randolph followed with a layup. The Charge beat the Herd 115-96.
The Herd will take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. CST.
