Washington Jr. Sets New Franchise Record with Career-High 53 Points Despite Loss to Stockton

Stockton, Calif. - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (2-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, fell 134-113 against the Stockton Kings (6-1) on Friday night at Stockton Arena.

It was a tight race between both teams in the first quarter as the score was tied 13-13. Stockton then pulled away with a 40-27 lead at the end of the first. The Kings then extended its lead throughout the second, third and fourth quarter. In the end, the home team walked away with a 134-113 victory over the Vipers.

Houston Rockets assignment TyTy Washington Jr. had a big night as he set a new franchise record for the Vipers in points scored in a single game with 53 points and 10 rebounds. Ray Spalding contributed 14 points followed by Houston Rockets Two-Way player Trevor Hudgins with 12 points and Cassius Stanley with 11 points. Trhae Mitchell reached 11 rebounds.

Sacramento Kings Two-Way player Neemias Queta led Stockton with 28 points. Both Jordan Ford and Chance Comanche had 20 points each. DJ Steward scored 16 points followed by Trey Burke with 14 points and Alex O'Connell with 11 points.
