BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, fell to the Texas Legends on Sunday afternoon at Legacy Arena at the BJCC by a score of 119-105, Birmingham's first loss of the season.
The Squadron (3-1) were led in scoring by Devin Cannady's 24 points off the bench, his highest offensive output through the season's first four games. Landers Nolley II added 19 for Birmingham, while Dereon Seabron and Jalen Crutcher each notched 15 points.
Center Trey Jemison pulled down 16 rebounds, the fifth-most ever by a Squadron player, and tossed in eight points in the loss.
Texas (2-2) had two players, A.J. Lawson and Jordan Walker, score over 20 points, with 24 and 22, respectively.
The Squadron and Legends rematch for the second contest of a back-to-back Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Legacy Arena at the BJCC for Decades Night.
