Herd Forces Win Over Sioux Falls

OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, beat the Sioux Falls Skyforce 123-121. Both teams came out evenly matched resulting in 17 lead changes in the first quarter with Sioux Falls eventually gaining the advantage at the break. The Herd didn't back down shooting 46.2 percent from the field and converting seven points from Skyforce turnovers. Sioux Falls led the Herd 68-65 at the half. The Herd stayed close during the third quarter but couldn't take control of the game until the fourth quarter. The Herd outscored the Skyforce 31-25 during the fourth quarter while shooting 100% from the free throw line. The Herd sealed the win 123-121.
Lindell Wigginton propelled the Herd to the win with 26 points while TyTy Washington Jr. added 19 points.
The Sioux Falls Skyforce was led by Nikola Jovic with 26 points followed by Jamal Cain with 25 points.
Milwaukee Bucks Two-Way player Marques Bolden opened the game with a three-pointer. The Herd held on to the advantage for four minutes before the Skyforce took the lead. The teams went back and forth resulting in four lead changes before Sioux Falls gained an extra basket on Wisconsin. Lindell Wigginton responded with consecutive three-pointers to grab the upper hand for the Herd. Sioux Falls didn't back down answering every Herd basket to tie the game three times. Ultimately, the Skyforce hit the last basket before the break to go up 36-35.
The Skyforce converted the first points of the second quarter to go up by six. The Herd battled back to tie the game 45-45 at the eight-minute mark. Sioux Falls ran away with the lead once more, making it a seven-point match. The Herd fought back and a three-point basket from Lindell Wigginton evened the game at 56-56. With that three-point basket, Lindell Wigginton broke the All-Time Wisconsin Herd Three-Point Field Goal Record. Wisconsin eventually built a five-point advantage, but the Skyforce hit the last four points to bring the score to 68-65 at the half. Milwaukee Bucks Two-Way player TyTy Washington Jr. guided the team with 13 points in the first half.
Lindell Wigginton, Milwaukee Bucks Two-Way player, converted a free throw to start the third quarter. Lindell Wigginton and Marques Bolden combined for four points to take the lead. The teams traded the lead five times before the Skyforce pushed forward to 83-78. The Herd rallied to tie the game once more but that didn't stop the Skyforce. Sioux Falls continued to stay one basket ahead of the Herd and at the end of the third quarter led 96-92.
Sioux Falls pushed ahead to an eight-point advantage at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Herd rallied with a 9-0 run to take the edge 101-100 with eight minutes remaining. Iverson Molinar converted another layup to extend the Herd 103-100. Sioux Falls returned with eight points taking back the forefront. After three lead changes, the Herd took charge of the game going up by four points. Lindell Wigginton secured the next basket breaking the All-Time Scoring Record for the Wisconsin Herd. With one minute remaining, TyTy Washington completed two free throws to keep the Herd above. Wenyen Gabriel completed a three-point play while Lindell Wigginton knocked down two free throws to earn the win for the Wisconsin Herd.
The Wisconsin Herd will finish its four-game home stand on Tuesday, Nov. 21st against the Sioux Falls Skyforce with tip-off at 6:00 p.m. CST.
