Community Brief
- Play it Forward - Forward Corey Cowick and Defenseman Denny Urban are participating in Play it Forward, an initiative that promotes a healthy lifestyle through exercise and nutrition. Cowick and Urban will talk with kids at the Boys and Girls Club in West Springfield and play games on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
- Lunch with Screech - Screech is having lunch with students at Bowe School in Chicopee on Jan. 7 to honor the kids who completed the school's reading program.
- Stick to Reading - Goaltender Oscar Dansk and forward Mike Hoeffel are participating in Stick to Reading presented by Columbia Gas of Massachusetts. Dansk and Hoeffel will read to kids at the Springfield Library Forest Park branch to help kick-off the Winter Reading Club on Jan. 8. The program focuses on promoting the importance of reading throughout the Greater Springfield area.
