MCH 4 vs STJ 0

It was a New Year's Eve to forget for the IceCaps as they were shut out by the Monarchs at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH.

Nick Shore scored twice for the Monarchs, while David Van der Gulik and Michael Mersch added singles. J.F. Berube posted the shutout, turning aside 33 IceCaps shots.

Fri., Jan. 2

HFD 4 vs STJ 2

The IceCaps surrendered four straight goals in the loss to the Wolf Pack at XL Center in Hartford, CT. Scott Kosmachuk and Kyle MacKinnon spotted the IceCaps a 2-0 lead, but Hartford roared back with four in a row, including the game-winner off the stick of Conor Allen at 11:18 of the third period. Peter Budaj was denied the win for St. John's, making 27 saves on 30 shots.

Sat., Jan. 3

STJ 7 vs HFD 3

Scott Kosmachuk and Jason Jaffray each netted a pair of goals as the IceCaps crushed the Wolf Pack at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. John Albert with a goal and an assist, Yann Sauvé with his first as an IceCap, and Carl Klingberg also scored for St. John's who sniped three first- period powerplay goals. Will O'Neill collected three assists in the victory.

Future Jets at the Juniors: The IceCaps' parent club, the Winnipeg Jets, had six prospects compete at the 2015 World Junior Hockey Chamionship in Montreal and Toronto. Nic Petan and two players who wore IceCaps uniforms last season - Eric Comrie and Josh Morrsissey - skated for Team Canada.

Other Jets draftees representing their countries were: Chase DeLeo (USA), Nikolaj Ehlers (Denmark) and Jan Kostalek (Czech Republic).
