Spokane Shut out 5-0 in Return to Game Action

Spokane, Wash. - Playing their first game in over a week, the Spokane Chiefs were held scoreless Thursday night as they lost the front end of a double-header with the Everett Silvertips, 5-0 at home in the Spokane Arena.

Spokane edged Everett in shots on goal in the first period 12-11, however Silvertips winger Hunter Campbell hammered home the loan goal of the opening frame just 2:23 into the action.

The Silvertips took control of the contest in the second period, scoring 2:01 in before Campbell, an Everett, Washington native, added his second marker of the night at 14:11. Everett tacked on a fourth tally with 35-seconds remaining to give them a 4-0 lead headed into the second intermission. Everett added their fifth and final score just 53-seconds into the third.

The shutout marks the end of forward Adam Beckman's goal streak, which was at six games entering the night.

Spokane netminder Campbell Arnold was 27-for-32 in net, while Everett's Dustin Wolf was a perfect 32-for-32. The Chiefs were held 0-for-4 on the power play while the Silvertips went 1-for-2.
