Special Olympics Takeover Tonight, Driven by Toyota

January 15, 2022 - NBA G League (G League) - Texas Legends News Release

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends and their partners at Toyota have joined forces to bring a Special Olympics takeover to the Comerica Center Saturday night. As the Legends host the second night of a back-to-back with the Santa Cruz Warriors, they will do so in custom, Special Olympics-themed jerseys and with VIP guests in the stands.

Prior to the Legends game, two teams from Special Olympics North Texas will take the court coached by Legends staff and players. The teams will battle for a first-place prize and recognition at center court during the Legends game. Special Olympics will then be the featured charity of the night, with marketing elements and in-game activations throughout the Legends game.

Toyota became a Global Partner of Special Olympics in 2017. This is the fourth annual Special Olympics takeover night presented by Toyota at the Legends.

Texas took game one against the Warriors last night, led by a 23-point, 10-assist performance by Carlik Jones. Golden State assignee Moses Moody finished with the night with 32 points, shooting 6-of-10 from outside.

Tonight's game tips off at 7:30pm CT. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
