The Sudbury Wolves closed-out their 3-in-3 road trip with a pair of losses in Saginaw and in Plymouth. The Wolves dropped a 4-1 decision in Saginaw and a 7-1 decision in Plymouth. The losses followed on the heels of a 4-1 loss in Windsor on Thursday night.

In Saginaw, the Spirit struck quickly with two goals in less than a minute and took a 2-0 lead after one period. The Spirit added another unanswered goal early in the second frame to take a 3-0 lead after two. The Spirit made it 4-0 before Kyle Capobianco scored his sixth goal of the season with less than four minutes to play. Shots on goal favoured Saginaw 44-29. Both teams finished 0 for 5 on the power play. Despite the loss, Troy Timpano was solid in goal for the Wolves with 40 saves.

On Saturday, the Wolves gave-up an early goal 15 seconds into the contest and former Wolf Mathew Campagna made it 2-0 before the end of the first period. Michael Pezzetta made it 2-1 on a perfect pass from Pavel Jenys but Whaler superstar Sonny Milano responded with two goals in 44 seconds to stake the Whalers to a 4-1 lead after two periods. The Whalers added two power play goals in the third and added a late even strength marker to close-out the scoring. Shots on goal finished 32-30 for Plymouth. The Wolves were 0 for 8 with the man advantage while the Whalers were 2 for 4 on the power play. Wolves' goaltender Sam Tanguay took the loss in goal.

The Wolves will now prepare for a rematch with the Saginaw Spirit on Friday night at 7:30 at the Sudbury Arena. There are plenty of great seats for fans to acquire for Saginaw's one and only visit to Sudbury this season. Saginaw's line-up includes former Wolf Devon Paliani and team leading scorer Dylan Sadowy.
